The core of our business since 1983, Med-Emerg has provided healthcare staffing solutions to a variety of rural and urban healthcare facilities, including hospitals, long term care and retirement centres, family practice clinics, and correctional facilities across Canada.

Rather than simply recruiting healthcare providers, Med-Emerg works with its customers to understand their unique problems and create the best possible management solution – often combining existing healthcare personnel into inter-disciplinary teams that are more effective, efficient and sustainable. The company is best known as a pioneer in creating new integrated health care delivery models that combine the skills of registered healthcare professionals such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants into team-based care. One of these programs - a ‘hospitalist model’- utilizes a physician and nurse practitioners in team based care and recently received an award from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care for innovation in health care design.

Med-Emerg has the resources and experience to manage small recruiting projects as well as large multi-site contracts with provincial and federal government organizations. For example, the company administered a management services contract and provided more than 1,600 medical care personnel in 26 healthcare categories for all Canadian Forces Bases across Canada.

Our recruiting practices are focused on finding healthcare providers with the same high standards of patient care that our customers expect within their facilities.
